Stop by the hotel lobby and meet Sydney, the Woodmark's Leadbeaters (or Major Mitchell's) Cockatoo.

Sydney is a native to Australia and was raised from the age of 5 weeks by the team of Denise's Parrot Place located on Mercer Island. In May 2006, the Woodmark adopted Sydney when he was just under a year old. Sydney is an enthusiastic chewer and loves to play with (and destroy) his wood toys. Sydney can talk quite well when he wants to, and enjoys learning new words and phrases. He has mastered 'Good Morning' and 'What are you doing' - still in training to say 'Welcome to the Woodmark'. At times, Sydney has a very loud 'shout' (a real attention-getter).
